GROWERS OF QUALITY HENS
We are a small family owned business that grow out ISA Brown Hens as free range that are perfect for the back yard.
We specialize in raising our girls as non-debeaked as most ISA Brown are debeaked as day old chickens.
We also specialize in raising our girls on deep litter and free range as most
ISA Brown are raised on concrete or wire and don't actually see the outside world at all even though they are classed as free range.
As the "Free range" laws for poultry stand in Australia currently they only need to allow one meter squared per four hens and they don't need to be allowed to go outside.
We raise them in maximum flock sizes of 1000 to allow adequate room, no over crowding and also for vaccinating, as we can only bye the vaccinations in 1000 bird lots, this is to allow no waste or expenditure.
We have delivery routes all over central and north eastern Victoria and into south NSW.
The "Lovely Ladies" as many people know them, all have a full beak and are vaccinated and wormed for delivery.
We pack the Ladies into purpose designed cardboard boxes as per order so as to provide them with as stress free a move as possible and this also is for biosecurity so that we can guarantee quality control.
They are packed at night when they have settled, to aid in there comfort.
